What We’ve Been Up To Lately

Hope everyone is doing well. It’s been awhile since I’ve posted any updates. We’ve had a busy summer. Most recently Debbie and I traveled to New York to shoot a video series that we can’t wait to share with everyone. It was a great trip. We were able to enjoy some family time with our newest grandson and were also able to see some of the sights in New York.

Sunrise Ceremony

I just completed the Sunrise wedding for a couple on the island near the windmill in Batavia. It was a really cool experience in a very heartfelt wedding ceremony with just four of us present. Now we’re back on the Tandem and heading out.

How The Strongest Marriages Make It Through “Sickness and Health”

Family Affair

I officiated today for the wedding of Jamie and Justin at Edward Madigan State Park in Lincoln, Illinois. Jamie is my niece and she lived with us for a few months while working in Chicago a couple of years ago. The first time I ever kissed Debbie was over 43 years ago in the same park as the wedding. Her father is my younger brother! It was a great wedding under a huge tent on what turned out to be a very nice day!

Family Embraces Marriage

In March I officiated at the Stonebridge Country Club in Aurora for Sabrina and Michael.  The main club house has several large banquet rooms that are perfect for weddings and receptions.  Sabrina and Michael both have very friendly families and it was fun getting acquainted with them.  We did not have a rehearsal but the wedding went very well with just the couple standing.  The couple have a little boy who sat quietly throughout the ceremony and at the very end he got excited and ran around the front and then into his parents arms.  If we had planned it – it could not have been better timed and was a cute as could be.
