Relationship Coaching and Couples Counseling

Hope you are doing well. We spent a wonderful Thanksgiving at home with our family this year. 3 of our children and 11 of our grandchildren were able to be with us. Our daughter who wasn’t able to be there had a pretty good excuse. She delivered our 13th grandchild a few days after the holiday! We can’t wait for Christmas.

I’ve met with several wonderful couples recently that I’ve been lucky enough to be chosen to officiate for. Really looking forward to planning and officiating their ceremonies. If you are looking for an officiant please reach out quickly as my schedule is beginning to fill up. I always enjoy meeting with new couples.

In other news Debbie and I are really excited to share our new website(link is external) with you. We’re regularly posting marriage and family related content. We hope you find our articles useful and feel free to reach out to us if you’re interested in couples coaching or counseling.

Wishing you all the best this holiday season.

As usual Debbie and I have been very busy lately. We’ve been to Indiana to help chop wood to keep our grandkids warm this winter, spent some time in Wisconsin, and I’ve been lucky enough to officiate a few Weddings as well. Speaking of which, my schedule is filling up quickly. If you’re looking for an officiant contact me quickly!

Last wanted to share an inspiring video(link is external) of a good friend of mine from the church we attend while we’re in Wisconsin.

Brotherly Love

Tonight I  have the pleasure of being the wedding officiant for Joshua and Elizabeth at Riverside receptions in Geneva. We were in the lower level room with the Fox River as the backdrop for the ceremony and it was a beautiful setting. For the Unity Celebration the bride and groom used different colored glass beads that they poured into a central vase. This will be sent to a company that will make a hand blown glass sculpture for them using the actual beads from the ceremony. The bride’s father died a number of years ago so she had her three older brothers stationed along the aisle and they each escorted her one third of the way to the wedding altar. When I asked the question “who gives this woman to be married to this man” they all three had a big smile on their face and responded “We do,” and everyone got a nice chuckle out of it. I did the wedding ceremony for one of the brides brothers and he and his wife recommended me two Elizabeth and Joshua. It’s quite a privilege to come so highly recommended.

Good to be back

Debbie and I spent the last couple weeks in Arizona. We really enjoyed the warm weather, time with friends, and chance to get out on our bikes. Looking forward to a couple of upcoming weddings. Can’t wait to get back out there and connect with you!

Coming Speaking/Teaching Events for Dr. David and Dr. Debbie McFadden

January Marriage Talk In Drummond, Wisconsin
Dr. David McFadden will be speaking at the Oaks Community Church in the 10:00 AM church service on Sunday, January 22, 2017. The topic is “Awesome Marriage.” The big idea for this talk is Learning How to Resolve Conflict Is the Key to Building an Awesome Marriage! Drummond is north of Hayward and Cable. For more information please email Dr. McFadden or go to the church web site: http://www.oaksofdrummond.com/(link is external).

Dr. David and Dr. Debbie McFadden discovered “The Oaks” a few years ago while vacationing in northern Wisconsin when on a long ride on their tandem bike. The McFaddens were sitting in a gas station on a hot day in the middle of a 40 mile bike ride downing a couple of bottles of Gatorade when they spotted the building. They noticed that since the year before the building had been transformed into a church. Dr. David said, “We visited the church the next year while out on a Sunday morning bike ride and were accepted right into their church family.” The McFaddens were invited to stay after the church service for an all church pitch in dinner. Since then, David and Debbie visit the church each year they are in the area, and Dr. David has spoken during the church services in the past.
